Our Bed and Breakfast is located in Specchiarica near San Pietro in Bevagna, a seaside village in the municipality of Manduria, in the province of Taranto, 300 meters from the wonderful Ionian coast of northern Salento characterized by crystal clear water and long golden beaches.
Our
B&B
is in a strategic position. It is, indeed, close to the sea and, at the same time, it offers its guests the chance to visit the fascinating cities of the Salento Peninsula.
Vento del Mare B&B has been recently renovated and has new rooms with independent entrance.

All of our rooms feature air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi Internet access and mini-bar. They also have a private bathroom equipped with shower.

LANDSCAPE
Not far from our bed and breakfast there are ancient olive trees with twisted and large trunks. Moreover you will be able to see among the various plots the typical dry stone walls.
The vegetation is also made up of vineyards and you can also find the prickly pear, which grows spontaneously both inside and along the coast. The B&B is also located in an area rich in shrubs and aromatic plants that enrich the Mediterranean maquis.
The presence of many species of wild orchids is remarkable, while juniper grows on the dunes.
The so-called coastal watch towers, of quadrangular or circular shape, are a symbol of the territory.
They were built over the centuries as Salento was in the past the victim of numerous attacks by different Mediterranean populations. Noteworthy is the majestic Torre Colimena tower located just 3 km from our B&B.
If you are a diver, you can explore the Chidro river area (2km), while nature lovers can visit the Salina dei Monaci Nature Reserve (2.5km), inhabited by pink flamingos, egrets, knights of Italy and other migratory and resident birds.
In a few minutes you can reach the suggestive beaches of Torre Lapillo (about 12 km) and Porto Cesareo (about 18km), while the famous Punta Prosciutto beach is only 5km from our Bed and Breakfast.
You can also visit the deepest Salento: the Green Bay of Gallipoli (about 45km), the picturesque seaside village of Santa Maria di Leuca (about 90 km), the baroque splendor of Lecce (45km), or you can move on the Adriatic side towards Punta Palascìa (about 80 km), commonly called Capo d'Otranto, or the easternmost point of Italy.
The city of Taranto, about 50 km from our Bed and Breakfast, is an excellent opportunity for those who love artifacts.
The National Archaeological Museum of Taranto (MarTA) safeguards, indeed, priceless treasures such as the splendid Golden Treasure of Taranto. Moreover, you can admire the Aragonese Castle and the Cathedral of San Cataldo.
A little farther away, at about 120 km from the Vento del Mare B&B, you will find the beautiful city of Matera.
